Hi, I’m Carolyn!

I have always been curious about people and figuring out how we grow and thrive. I love asking questions, listening beneath the surface, encouraging positive change, and equipping people to choose actions that align with who they are and what matters most to them.

After careers in law and nonprofits, I am thrilled to use my thirty years of leadership experience as a certified transformational coach credentialed by the International Coaching Federation. I specialize in helping people develop their unique leadership skills, navigate life transitions, and cultivate healthy organizational cultures. As a 1.5-generation Korean American immigrant, I especially enjoy coaching Asian Americans, women leaders, adult children of immigrants, young adults, and others who may feel like they don’t belong. It is my joy to help people become more comfortable in their skin and more confident in how they show up in the world.

Most recently, I worked as the Small Groups Pastor on the executive team of Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village, California. In that role for seventeen years, I helped build personal, relational communities for 2000+ people while aligning vision with the organization, shaping assimilation strategies, training and recruiting hundreds of volunteers, supervising teams, and writing and producing video curricula. I am a conference speaker, workshop trainer, published author, podcast host for “Here to There” / “Group Talk”, and core leader for the Small Group Network, a global organization connecting 30,000+ church leaders.

In my first career, I worked as a civil litigation attorney in large and small firms, navigating diverse organizational cultures and legal environments. I met my husband, a fellow attorney, through work, and we have been married for 29 years with two young adult daughters who are our greatest joy!
